One should consider choosing a location somewhere in or near the old city center; somewhere around the cathedral, Plaza Nueva, or Plaza Bib-Rambla as all interesting places in this zone are reachable onfoot. Some of these MOST interesting places to visit include the El Alhambra & Palacio del Generalife, Albaicín/Albayzin, Capilla Real, Cathedral, Casa de los Tiros, & El Bañuelo to name only a few.
GranadaMan spent two nights (October 2005) at the elegant, 4-star Hotel Alhambra Palace. What an incredible place! Located just a few minute's walk from the Alhambra & built in 1910, our suite had an incredible view of Granada City below. This hotel was definitely the MOST elegant (and most expensive) hotel I've ever stayed in. If you want someplace special for a special occasion, this place would be a good choice.
